Leadership
DIVINE All Along is led by people committed to truth-telling, accountability, and the long work of repair — grounded in lived experience, professional integrity, and ethical clarity.
Mark Dilcom
Founder & Executive Director
Mark Dilcom founded DIVINE All Along after years of witnessing — and personally experiencing — the harm caused when theology is used to justify control, shame, and exclusion.
Mark’s leadership is shaped by:
lived experience as a queer person harmed by religious systems
decades of work in training, curriculum development, and organizational leadership
a deep commitment to human dignity, accountability, and repair
Mark does not approach this work as an abstract theological exercise.
He approaches it as a human rights issue — rooted in the conviction that love without accountability is not love.
His role includes:
guiding the strategic vision of DIVINE All Along
safeguarding the ethical integrity of the organization
leading public education and advocacy efforts
overseeing DIVINE Spaces as an accountability program for faith communities
How We Lead
Leadership at DIVINE All Along is not about issuing declarations or granting approval.
It is about holding boundaries, protecting integrity, and centering those most impacted by harm.
Our leadership is responsible for:
ensuring survivor-centered approaches guide all work
resisting pressure to offer guarantees or shortcuts
maintaining accountability to our stated values
supporting long-term, practice-based change rather than performative inclusion
This work requires courage, restraint, and honesty — especially when it is uncomfortable.
Oversight of DIVINE Spaces
DIVINE Spaces is a program of DIVINE All Along focused on accountability with faith communities.
Leadership provides oversight to ensure that:
discernment is real, not performative
immersion and formation are substantive
accountability practices are used, not merely described
no community is labeled “safe” without demonstrated, ongoing practice
DIVINE Spaces is not a certification body.
It is a guided accountability journey overseen with care and ethical rigor.
Advisors & Partners
DIVINE All Along collaborates with advisors, practitioners, and partners who bring expertise in:
trauma-informed care
organizational accountability
theology and ethics
queer advocacy and community care
These relationships strengthen the work while preserving independence and integrity.
Leadership with Integrity
Leadership at DIVINE All Along exists for one reason:
To ensure that the work of ending religious abuse is never rushed, diluted, or compromised.
Trust is not claimed.
It is earned — over time, through practice.
